Welcome to the Chinese Digital Community!

The Chinese Digital Community website contains historical and contemporary information: topics (text articles), images, audio, video, documents, and web links about New Zealand's Chinese community. A collaboration between Auckland Libraries and the NZ Chinese Association, the website went live in July 2009.

The Chinese Digital Community aims to preserve New Zealand's Chinese heritage for future generations. We hope that it will grow to become a rich resource, and in turn a useful tool for history enthusiasts and family history researchers.

Anyone is welcome to register for free as a member of the website, and add information and content to it. You could comment on and discuss the information on the site. You could edit the information of others. There is also an option of keeping information in a group so that it is not visible to the public.

All information on the Chinese Digital Community will be safely stored for future generations by Auckland Libraries.

This website was developed by Katipo. It is hosted by Katipo, and powered by Kete, an open source software.
