Chess 4 Miracle is New Zealand Chess Federation affiliated chess club
We have our club nights every Friday, from 7:00pm to around 8:30pm. The club is located at 1650 Great North Road, Avondale, Auckland (Corner of Great North Road & Blockhouse Bay Road ). Access is extremely easy, whether you come from East Auckland, South Auckland or even North Shore, you exit from Highway on Great North Road, within one minute drive, and you can’t miss it. There are ample parking spaces
Established in 2009, Chess for Miracle was the latest club affiliated to New Zealand Chess Federation. Young as it is, we boast of having attracted a bunch of most promising junior chess players in New Zealand. Its founder, Victor Wang, an accredited coach of Fide, has trained a list of well-known players, International Master Puchen Wang, Woman International Master Sue Moroeroe, Woman Candidate Master Judy Gao, 2005 New Zealand Junior Chess Champion Jason Wu & Girls Under 12 Oceania top chess player Nicole Tsoi etc.
Besides, Fide Master Bruce Watson is in charge of coaching a strong contigent of rising stars such as Hans Gao, Alex Huang and Scott Yang etc. Other coaches Paul MacDonald, Michael Steiner, Pual Martin and Victor Wang all contribute to the great success of our chess club
