I am a Masters student in the School of Information Management at Victoria University of Wellington. As part of this degree, I am undertaking a research project. The project I am undertaking is evaluating the existing Chinese language collections provided by Auckland Libraries. It aims to identify the strengths and weaknesses in the current collections, to investigate how well they meet the reading and information needs and demands of their users. 本人是惠灵顿维多利亚大学信息管理学院的在读硕士研究生。为完成此学位，本人必须完成一篇调研论文。我目前正着手调研的方案是关于中文读者对奥克兰图书馆提供的中文藏书的综合评价。其目的在于鉴别评估奥克兰图书馆现有中文藏书的优势和劣势，并调查它们是否满足中文读者的阅读和信息需求。

I am inviting Auckland Libraries customers of Chinese descent who read in Chinese, including people from the mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries to participate in this survey. Your participation will help me to obtain valuable information on my research topic; it may also help Auckland Libraries to improve their resources and services for Chinese migrations and descendants. 我在此诚挚地邀请奥克兰公共图书馆的华裔会员参加这个针对中文藏书读者的问卷调查，会员范围包括来自中国大陆，香港，澳门，台湾，新加坡，马来西亚和其他国家的中文读者。您的参与将有助于我获取相关的珍贵信息资料；并将有助于奥克兰图书馆提高对华裔的服务和中文藏书的质量和数量。

You will be asked to complete a questionnaire by making ticks on the boxes or providing short answers to the questions. It is essential for participants to fill out their questionnaire by 31^st May 2011. This survey will take about 15-20 minutes to complete. Please collect the questionnaire in your local library and return it to the box made available by library staff. You will have the opportunity to enter a draw to win one of four $20 Westfield Gift Vouchers, please write down your contact details on the coloured piece of paper and insert it in the prepared sealed box at library. 您只需在问卷答案前面的小方框内打 “√”或写下简短答案即可，但敬请各位在2011年5月31日前完成并交回给图书馆馆员。您大概需要15-20 分钟来完成这个问卷。请您到当地奥克兰公共图书分馆取得调查问卷。当您交回完成的问卷时，您将有机会抽取一张20元的Westfield购物中心代金券，请将您的联系方式写在附送的彩色小纸条上并放进图书馆预备好的密封小纸盒中即可参与抽奖。
