The Shum village of Cheung Dai Chuen on Zengcheng is to be torn down.
An email received today from a friend.
"The village will be torn down to make room for an international trade centre.
Such a crying shame
I have asked family over there to see if they can try to find out when it will begin as I am going over in April/May and I don’t want to be too late. I may have to change travel dates and go earlier than I wanted. Hopefully someone can find out for me."
Can some one tell us what is happening and when?
If you are planning to go to the villages it'll be better to go now because Xintang is creeping up on the rural areas and soon all the villages will be gobbled up.
