NEW ELDER ORDAINED.
In the presence of a large congregation, Mr. C. Y. Kwok was last night ordained as an elder of the Auckland Chinese Presbyterian Church by the Rev. R. Ferguson Fish, moderator of the session of the Chinese Church. The ceremony took place in the Mawson Memorial Hall. When the usual ritual questions had been asked, Mr. Fish recited the ordination prayer. The elder among whom was Sir Albert Ellis, then extended the right hand of fellowship to Mr Kwok.
The moderator gave a short address on the duties and historic associations of eldership, and then the Rev. Y. S. Chau, minister of the Chinese Church, expressed the thanks of his congregation to Mr. Fish and others who had taken part in the service. Auckland Star, Volume LXIX, Issue 155, 4 July 1938, Page 4
